How to relieve stress in 45 seconds

Stress management has long been an integral part of our daily life. But there are ways that can relieve mild stress in 45 seconds.

1. Reading poetry. Reading poetry for 45 seconds will be quite enough to relieve the tension that has arisen during the working day. Of course, this method is suitable only for those who like poetry. If you prefer to read prose, you'd better try other options.

2. Steam release. If you feel that your patience is almost exhausted, get up, move around, walk a little, do a light exercise. Preferably where there is access to fresh air and sunlight. Try to breathe by inhaling through your mouth and exhaling through your nose.

3. Aromatherapy. Don't underestimate the power of smells. It is unlikely that you will be allowed to use an aroma lamp in the office, but you may well use an orange for this. It is not only pleasant to taste and healthy, but also very invigorating. Even if you don't like oranges, treat your colleagues to them, and leave the skin on the table for at least a couple of minutes. At home, you can use essential oils of orange, grapefruit, lemon and bergamot.

4. Meditation. Give your brain a rest. Relax, think about something pleasant for you. Try just closing your eyes and slowly taking ten deep breaths and exhaling with a slight breath delay.

5. Music. Each of us has a favorite melody that infuses new strength into us, gives us the necessary impetus for further actions and gives inspiration. Don't miss the moment!

6. Humor. I think nothing will happen if you take at least a minute to exchange jokes with colleagues. The main thing is not to perceive this as a permission for yourself to spend half a day on resources with jokes, pictures, etc. Otherwise, at the end of the month you will be even more stressed when submitting reports.

7. Order. You can simply put things in order on your desktop, sort emails and documents on your computer. If you work at home, you may well clean up a little — it helps to put in order not only the apartment or the desktop, but also your thoughts.

8. Tactile sensations. The feeling of something soft, warm and pleasant to the touch helps with stress. Scratch your cat or dog behind the ear and it will immediately become easier for you. At work, you are unlikely to be allowed to keep a cat, so they suggest using a rabbit's foot as a substitute for a pet. In my opinion, this is not a very good idea, but as an option it deserves to live. Among my acquaintances there are people who always carry rosaries or Chinese health balls in their pockets.

9. Snack. Food and drinks relax us. It's not for nothing that during the sessions, food disappears from the refrigerators twice as fast as usual. The young ladies are used to eating their grief with chocolate, cakes and ice cream. But still, it's better to let it be a crunchy apple than a bag of crispy chips.
