RECIPES: Carrot-apple-orange smoothie

In one of the posts I wrote about an application with recipes for various smoothies from Whole Living and Martha Stewart. And, of course, I bought it and decided to try all the recipes gradually.

We replenish our vitamin reserves and do not forget to count calories. So, the very first recipe (and some of the brightest in color) — apple + carrot + ginger + orange! For the sake of this recipe, I had to get a juicer that was gathering dust.

I got the juicer because it is quite difficult to find normal carrot juice in our stores. Therefore, it was easier to buy carrots and cook carrot fresh — much tastier and healthier!

In the original recipe, carrot juice should be frozen and then ground this ice in a blender along with the rest of the ingredients. But since it's getting cold again now, drinking cocktails with ice is not a good idea. I decided to leave the carrot fresh in its original state.

RECIPES: Carrot-apple-orange smoothie

So, for two servings you will need: a glass of carrot juice, a glass of orange juice, 1 green apple, 2 teaspoons of ginger, 1 teaspoon of honey.

What to do with all this? Peel the apple from the peel and seeds, chop it finely (to make it easier to grind in a blender). Rub a small piece of fresh ginger on a grater.

If you use juices from bags, then just mix all the ingredients in a blender and the smoothie is ready. If you prefer more natural ingredients (as in my case), prepare carrot and orange fresh, and then mix everything.

My adjustments. The carrots were sweet and with a pronounced taste, the apple was also sweet, so I: a) added less juice and b) did not add honey — and it turned out so sweet! If the apple is sour, it is better to add a little honey.

I would also advise adding a little less ginger, since without ice, its taste is felt quite strongly.

Carrots, oranges and apples will add vitamins and energy to you, and ginger will help fight colds. As a result, you get a vitamin bomb with an antiseptic effect ;)
