The blog "Run, Life Hacker, run" offers you not just to run, but also to take part in our competition. For two weeks, from May 23 to June 7 this year, all your runs will be counted and summed up. The one who runs the most (1st, 2nd and 3rd place!) will receive from us and our partner publishing house "Mann, Ivanov and Ferber" a rather valuable prize - five books:
"Running with Lydiard"
"Born to run"
"From 800 meters to marathon"
"Life without borders" and
"He's healthy to death."

So why not give jogging a little more meaning? ;)

Rules of participation

We use the Endomondo platform, which allows us to create such competitions and automatically identify the winner. You are required to have an account and enter the Lifehacker Cup competition and all your uploaded runs will automatically be included in the overall standings. Endomondo users are especially lucky — they don't need to change anything, just keep running! Only runs are counted in the standings.

Walking or cycling does not qualify.

You can run anywhere in the world, it doesn't matter at all. Just run!

But I don't have Endomondo! ʕ •`ᴥ•´ʔ

In fact, so do I. I usually use a Runkeeper and a GPS watch. You can upload your runs to Endomondo in a pack or one at a time. If you have a watch, then just upload new tracks here.

If you use Runkeeper or Strava, they allow you to export the data uploaded to them into GPX files that Endomondo will happily swallow. Data export from Runkeeper takes place here:

If you have Strava, then you can export each run there separately like this:

If you have Nike+, then ... I do not know what to do :) It seems that this "gasoline" system does not allow you to export activities.

By the way, we will be grateful for help in the comments about other systems you use and exporting GPX data from them.

ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ

Don't look for excuses! Victory is not the main thing!!!

You can take part in this competition not only for the sake of prizes, but also because you can ask each other questions, find new routes in your city and who you can run with on weekends, from whom to learn something !

Run, Lifehacker, run! We can't postpone any more...

Join the battle!
