Recently, people have been paying quite a lot of attention to all kinds of case management systems, and this is certainly useful, but only when people really stop at some system and begin to apply it consistently. You need to change something only when you really understand how the system works and see its shortcomings, obvious, I note, it is possible only for you. Today I would like to talk about an infinitely large number of small things that many of us, and I, for sure, postpone for an infinite time, in the so-called Someday list.

how to use the to-do list to increase work efficiency, how to use the list productively, how to make to-do lists correctly

Observing people in different parts of my country and in other countries, I noticed something that distinguishes those who manage to do a lot from those who constantly complain about lack of time: the former never pass by the case. This can be illustrated by a parable about a Toyota employee who corrected the mirror at the car in the parking lot, because she was used to Toyota having to do everything right. This, of course, is more like a bike, but it conveys the essence of the approach absolutely correctly:

Never pass by a task that you can complete
BUT
Never take on a task if someone else is busy

The contradiction is obvious, but the 2-minute rule, which was introduced in the legendary GTD book, will help us here: do something right away that won't take more than a couple of minutes. But since I like to read and watch documentaries about modern research on psychology and human cognitive abilities, I would clarify the rule as follows: do something right away that does not require much mental effort.

We saw on the table a pack of crumbled paper for notes – correct, a trace of coffee — do not pull up to the weekly cleaning, a sticker about the need to "give" a courtesy call to someone - call now. Fill in the pause between Cases. Get up to go to the toilet — look around the table to see if there is anything to grab on the way. If you see a thread on the carpet, bend down and grab it. You will be surprised how much you will have time to do. This will allow you not to inflate Someday, and people around you will be surprised when you do everything in time.
