Even in winter, hiding in a blanket and seeing how the mercury in the thermometer once again conquers the mark of -10, I thought about how it is a mirror image of such an existence. City — forest, asphalt — sand, floor — grass, cold — sun, snow — warm lake water. These thoughts did not come to me by chance. I have already traveled to the farm belonging to my wife's parents for many years, but I have never looked at it with the opportunity to retire with myself and my hobby.

Earlier in winter, I dreamed exclusively of summer, of a vacation in Spain, of a warm cloud enveloping you when leaving a preconditioned airport, sangria with paella, a round belly and a soft chaise longue. Triathletes are not like people here either. Sadly looking at the bike stand in the corner, we imagine a breeze blowing over our face. And a developing T-shirt, and a head of hair, who has it, but there is no helmet or head on their shoulders. But there is romance in the blood! As well as adrenaline, testosterone, endorphins and much more. Seeing the sneakers, we are already flying over the surface, waiting for the next push with the toe), after the foot sinks a little into the gravel. We dream of going with the flow, cooling our heads with a cold current under the rustle in the reeds.

A trip to the farm crowned my 4-6 month stage of preparation for 70.3. During this period, a phase of maximum loads was envisaged. Bike trails of 2.5-4.5 hours, three cross-country half-marathons at the limit of strength, and swimming, a lot of swimming, the basics of open water.

The envious eyes of the head of the family have planned a 3-week unity with nature. It's hard to believe, but after increased loads, my body became less glamorous and more like a souffle than before. I do not understand why my body, which does not consume meat, has put such a pig in the face of poor metabolism. Don't worry, everything is OK with the face. Eating at home every 3 hours in small portions and shifting carbohydrates in the first half of the day, I did not even notice how six months later I began to respond to the call signs “Apollo”. Here, all conditions were created for the successful return of the fat layer to its native penates.

And thirdly. Bike rides from distances “around the corner here” stretched to “around the world in 80 days". 3-4 hours of training did not allow us to keep the previous meal schedule in any way, and it slipped to the much-loved sanatorium-boarding 3-time. Large, hearty, dense. The whole life — struggle! You can't beat me, giggle!

So with all the differences in dreams between a passive vacation somewhere in Spain and a sports camp in a very specific forest, there are also plenty of common features. Having checked for myself, I decided that such a pastime has quite a serious potential. Therefore, there were quite definite thoughts related to the desire to combine business with pleasure, namely, to promote a healthy lifestyle in groups of up to 10 people for 5 days from May to October, 100 kilometers from Riga, starting next year.
