For many, the Windows desktop is really working – we take out icons of frequently run programs there, have folders that need quick access, start temporary text files, quickly drag files from a USB stick, and photos from a camera. Some do not use any folders on the computer at all, except for the desktop, and some have access to other folders simply closed (this often happens on working computers). For this reason, the desktop is often literally littered with all sorts of icons and folders, which is another task to understand. To optimize the location of icons on the desktop, and most importantly, minimize the space they occupy, you can use a simple utility that will build icons not as pictures, but as a list.
A very simple utility that does not have any interface. I must say right away that in Windows 7/Vista it didn't work for me, but in Windows XP it behaved well. The program consists of two files: one launches the program and builds icons on the desktop, and the other unloads the program from memory and returns the icons to the standard appearance.
