REVIEW: Levitt and Dubner "Superfriconomics". A pleasure comparable to watching a hundred TED lectures — and all in one book

My best book of the past year and one of the most interesting books in my life. "Superfriconomics" is a real economic thriller that reads very interestingly and quickly (because it is absolutely impossible to break away from it).

To be honest, I often read a lot of books published by Mann, Ivanov and Ferber, but for the first time I sincerely want to thank them for this publication. Rarely do I manage to take up books that suck steeper than a hundred-watt vacuum cleaner).

"Superfriconomics" is a continuation of the well-known and popular "Friconomics", an unusual textbook from kindly crazy economists. Levitt and Dubner managed to show that economics is not just a complex science with a bunch of numbers and obscure words, it is a truly living discipline, the objects of study of which may well be prostitutes, drug addicts, monkeys, suicide bombers, "greens" and even economists themselves. "Superfriconomics" is a collection of scientific studies that are as close as possible to you and me. The laws of demand and money are the same everywhere — on Wall Street and in the red light district.

"If you have time to read only one book a year, read this one" — the slogan of the book expresses its essence as accurately as possible. "Superficonomics" is a world of living numbers, it's statistics with a smile on your face, it's a thermonuclear charge of humor, it's a pleasure comparable to watching a hundred TED lectures — and all in one book.

I strongly advise.

"Superfriconomics", Stephen Levitt and Stephen Dubner
