There are plenty of websites on the Internet designed to help travelers in planning and organizing a route. However, even a cursory glance at the Rome2Rio service makes it clear that we have something interesting in front of us.

Rome2Rio is based on Google Maps and uses data from train schedules and airlines around the world. Immediately after loading the site, you will be asked to specify the starting and ending points of the route. Then, after a short thought, the service will present you with route options on the map.

As you can see, Rome2Rio understands Russian perfectly. For example, I suggested the service to show me how to get from Odessa to the city of Paris :). In response, I was offered as many as five main options for routes, both direct and with transfers. For example, as it turned out, you can fly directly from Odessa, or you can take a train to Kiev or Chisinau, and from there by plane. They also offered to fly to Brussels, and then take the train to Paris.

When you hover the mouse pointer over one of the route options, a pop-up window appears with more detailed information about the flight.

Here we see various data about flight options, including airline names, start and landing times, intermediate landings and much more. And in order not to drown in this flow of information, you can click Show prices and then the service will ask you to specify the departure date, number of passengers and class, and then display the ticket price for each route. When the cost of each option is clearly visible, it is much easier to make a decision.

The founders of the service, and these are two former Microsoft employees, hope that their site will interest air and transport companies and they will monetize it through advertising and commission from tickets sold. In any case, despite the prefix beta , the project turned out to be very interesting and worthy of taking a place in the bookmarks of all travelers.
