Lonely people, tired of browsing endless online dating profiles, turn to an unexpected site in search of love: Google Docs. This new viral trend is forcing many to abandon Tinder and Bumble, writes Singles fed up with dating apps like Tinder, Bumble are opting for Google Docs to find love NYPost.

The trend originated online among people burned out by dating apps who are tired of swiping other people's photos in the hope of something serious. Now everyone just enters information about themselves into a common public document and gets acquainted.

This elementary method appeared after the CEO of the dating app Hinge admitted in a recent interview that burnout from a dating app is quite common.

Many users realized that this also applies to them, so they simply organized a large database of questionnaires through the Date Me directory. It contains links to stories about yourself in Google Docs. You only need to specify your gender, the purpose of finding a partner, your location (at least approximate), preferences for monogamy or polyamory, as well as belonging to any community with special interests. Contacts can be any: phone, email, social networks or even an address.

So far, 70% of male profiles and 30% of female ones are in the database, but the men the NYPost editors talked to said that it was quite possible to find a partner through the Date Me catalog (and they have already succeeded).

Many of those who have switched to this type of dating, note that the questionnaire allows you to tell much more than any profile in the application. The format, content, volume, style of presentation — you choose all this, there are no restrictions. And the more serious you are, the more detailed the information about you will be.

What do you think about such acquaintances?
