Dogs are often called "man's best friends", because they have remained faithful pets for at least 10,000 years. However, not all breeds are friendly. Scientists from the University of Helsinki (Finland)
have identified the most sociable and most unsociable pets.
To do this, experts processed data on 11 thousand dogs of 300 different breeds. As a result, they revealed a strong connection between the species and seven character traits: self-doubt, concentration on training, aggressiveness/dominance, energy, attitude to relatives, attitude to a person and perseverance.
Bull terriers, golden retrievers and dwarf breeds were recognized as the friendliest. And various hunting dogs turned out to be anti-rated.
Scientists have also discovered several other factors affecting the character of dogs. It turned out that females are usually more sociable than males, and young dogs are friendlier than adults.
Experts recommend not to delay the socialization of their pets and introduce them to other people more often. In this case, they will be kinder.
