KMPlay — Universal Media player

Having found it almost a year ago in the announcements of KMPlay, I thought that this was another clone of Winamp. And successfully made a mistake! Yes, there is a resemblance to the face, but to say that this is a clone of the — is the same as saying about an icebreaker of the «Arctic » type, as about a clone of the ship «Kon-Tiki » Tour Heyerdahl. A universal tool for portable playback of all imaginable and unimaginable audio and video formats with a very nice interface and huge capabilities.

I will not list everything that this player can do (otherwise I will not have enough characters in three articles for this). I will only say what is important to me:

• Full portability. That is, embedded codecs, its own multimedia library, working from a USB flash drive without administrative rights. This applies to playback of all audio and video formats, including DVD.
• Full customizability. Everything that can be configured is provided for the settings. The settings menu items can be plowed for hours, however, you can not do this — everything plays by default, as they say, «out of the box ».
• Fully changeable appearance: a large selection of very high-quality skins, subtitle settings, multimedia library settings (from the view to the icons).
• Correct playback of any files. If something doesn't play, I solve this problem with KMPlay. There has never been a file that he has not opened (including broken and under-downloaded from the Internet). A huge number of plugins (including support for plugins from Winamp).

As the developers write, this is really a professional multimedia file player. Updated frequently, constantly being in the stage of improvement. Off. the site is a forum where skins, icons, plugins, settings options, localization (Russian is present) and, of course, new versions of the player are constantly laid out. To download files, you need to go through a simple registration. The player is free for non-commercial, home use.
