DC Studios is planning to start auditioning candidates for the role of the new Supergirl in the James Gunn film universe soon. And according to ‘Supergirl’: Milly Alcock, Emilia Jones & Meg Donnelly Among Those In Mix To Screen Test For Role – The Dish Deadline, one of the main contenders is Millie Alcock, known for "The House of the Dragon".
In addition to Alcock, Emilia Jones ("CODA: Child of Deaf Parents") and Meg Donnelly ("Winchesters"), who voiced Supergirl in the animated film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, will be casting.
Most likely, the heroine will make her cameo debut in one of DC's upcoming projects, and after that she will appear in the full-length film "Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow."
Much earlier, the blockbuster "Superman: Legacy" will be released with David Korensvet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan, who will play Lois Lane. The worldwide release of the film is scheduled for July 11, 2025.
