ChampDog Films Studio will shoot horror based on the fairy tale sleeping "Sleeping Beauty". Its filming will begin in the UK in August this year. This is reported by the Bloody Disgusting portal.
The film will be called "Sleeping Beauty: Massacre" (Sleeping Beauty's Massacre). The producer and director will be Louise Warren, who worked on a horror adaptation of another famous fairy tale, called "The Curse of Cinderella."
According to the plot of "Sleeping Beauty", the beautiful princess Talia will be immersed in a dream by the evil queen Velma, who claims the throne. To do this, she will resort to the help of dark forces and occultism. But one day the princess will wake up, and "there will be a cruel twist after twist with bloody and inventive deaths."
Director Louise Warren added:
This movie will turn everything you know upside down. It's wild, dark and absolutely terrifying. I intend to create the most uncomfortable horror to date. There will be game, blood and a big massacre. If you look back at the source material, you'll see what you can play with.
Talia will be played by a little-known actress Laura of Christ. She will star alongside Lila Lasso, Leah Glater, Robbie Taylor, Sophie Rankin, Charlotte Coleman and Judy Chernyak. The release date has not yet been announced.
