In addition to the new iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, a major watchOS update was also shown at the WWDC 2023 presentation.
The tenth version of the system will improve the experience of using photo-based dials. They didn't display more information (it would destroy the whole idea of such dials), but in watchOS 10 you can turn the wheel to display widgets on top of the dial and quickly find out everything you need. This function will work with any dials.
The Activity app has been redesigned, adding icons for quick access to awards and results of friends. The list of awards also received a new interface.
The Apple Watch will now connect to Bluetooth sensors for bicycles so that the watch can display additional and more accurate information about the races.
Another useful feature has been added for cycling: the ability to connect an iPhone with iOS 17 in smart display mode, which will display all the necessary information in real time.
With the release of watchOS 10, a new watch face with a Snoopy dog will be available to users. It syncs with the weather in the user's location: if it rains, Snoopy will get wet too.
Apple has not yet announced the release dates of watchOS 10 and the list of compatible devices.
