WhatsApp developers have announced the introduction of a new feature "Closing the chat". This is another security measure with which you will be able to protect your most personal correspondence, says the blog.

"Closing the chat" allows users to transfer personal communication to a separate folder, which will be accessed using the device password or biometric data.

New messages in such chats will not be visible in notifications on your device, so that no one can spy on what you are talking about and with whom.

To close the chat, you need to click on the name of the interlocutor in personal correspondence or the name of the group and select the appropriate option. And to make private chats visible on the chat screen, slowly swipe your finger on it, enter your phone password or scan biometric data.

The developers are sure that this feature will be useful in situations when, for some reason, you give your phone to a loved one or any other person, and it is at this moment that you receive a very personal message.

Over the next months, it will be possible to close chats on connected devices and create a unique password for such correspondence, which can be used instead of the phone password.

The "Close Chat" feature is already being implemented on all devices.
