On January 1, 2024, a Twitter user with the nickname Temo Meskhi posted Temo Meskhi / Twitter photo of a New Year's table with a caption about how well life was in the USSR.
In the comments under the photo, he was caught cheating, noting that the oilcloth shows an illustration by Marcello Corti, who was only 13 years old in 1974, and Fanta on the table with a logo that appeared only after 2016.
This revelation added irony to the already strange snapshot, making it the starting point for a comic flash mob where people shared their New Year's tables.
The real cadres were in the minority.
With each new photo, the degree of irony only increased.
We remembered all the great feasts.
And many suitable (and not so good) movies and TV series.
And even games.
This is a spontaneous flash mob. The first post has already had almost two million views, and new images are still appearing in comments and reposts.
