Why should I become a creative person?

We used to understand creativity as the creation of something - paintings, stories, songs. But creativity can be understood in another way: as a human condition, without which no work can be born. At the same time, it may not be born, but a person's life will change, moreover for the better.

What kind of person can be called creative, and why should I become one?

The difference between a creative person and someone who is alien to creativity is primarily in a special perception of the world. A creative person is more open to the world, he perceives things, objects and people in a real way, as much as possible, and does not look through the prism of his granite beliefs and frameworks.

There are at least three reasons to develop creative thinking.

The fullness of the world today

"What day is it today?" asked Pooh

"Today", Piglet replied

"My favorite day", — said Pooh

Children perceive the world more simply and fully than adults, steamed with their problems and patterns. When a person sees an object, whether it is a tree, a fountain or a statue, he notes to himself that it is a tree, a fountain and a statue. He just classifies these items and sees no value in them.

Well, of course, if it is not a statue that is supposed to be admired, then he will note to himself that it is beautiful or will say a proper remark about it. Or take a picture against her background.

In contrast to this perception, a creative person sees in each object its real value. Each tree is not just a tree for him, but this particular tree is special and therefore valuable. We can say that a creative person sees beauty in everything, and it's not as difficult as it might seem.

How often do you get high from beauty? Looking at beautiful people, at the stylish design of a room in a magazine, at your new car? There are moments when you are so caught up in a thing that you really SEE it, and not just notice to yourself that it is there, as with everything else. And now imagine that you are also getting high from everything you see. Cool? Yes, indeed!

Erich Fromm, a German philosopher, called it the ability to "perceive and react correctly." And this applies not only to objects, but also to people.

People without templates

If you perceive objects simply by noting in your mind that they exist, so do you see people. During the acquaintance, you find out his data in order to pack them into your template and treat him that way.

So, Vasya, 30 years old, lives in a rented apartment, works as a plumber, loves beer. That's it, the template is ready, and the attitude has developed. Vasya, in turn, has a template of your persona, and as a result, no one really sees anyone.

Imagine that everyone sees you as the same template, a flat picture, and no one even guesses what your inner world is, and what you can actually do.

As a result, we get superficial relationships and a deep "don't care" about each other.

If you perceive a person creatively, he appears to you who he really is — a multifaceted and interesting personality.

One such look at another person can change the attitude towards him.

No imaginary grievances

Because of our template thinking, we often transfer our pens to other people and attribute emotions to them that do not exist and did not exist. If you are shy, it may seem to you that someone is shy, if you rarely listen to someone, you will be angry that they do not listen to you, and if you are able to deceive and betray, you will see betrayals everywhere.

Creative thinking helps to detach from your patterns, not to transfer your emotions to other people, which means avoiding so many resentments, quarrels and conflicts!

Surely you have seen creative people who are difficult to understand. They see beauty in ordinary things and more often rejoice like children. And it's not a genetic trait that either is or isn't. As a child, we were all like that, just then upbringing and education nullified this fresh look, but it can be returned, and it's not so difficult.

There are three qualities that will help you regain your creative thinking and see the world as it was seen and seen by great creators.

1. Keep wondering

Children are surprised by everything, adults prefer to make a face with a brick and immediately forget. Even after living in the same city for 500 years, you will not learn everything, but nevertheless you pretend that nothing will surprise you, because not knowing something means being ignorant and stupid.

The image of a person who will not be surprised by anything is attractive, but unreal. Continue to be surprised, because it is surprise that is the engine of progress. Great inventors found something unfamiliar in everything familiar, looked at everyday things with a fresh look and made discoveries. If it were not for the ability to be surprised by the simple, many achievements of science would be impossible.

Check for yourself — even in your environment and everyday life there are many things that you can be surprised at over and over again, the main thing is to notice it.

2. Learn to concentrate

Many modern people have forgotten how to concentrate, but concentration is simply necessary for creative thinking. Without concentration on an object, be it an object or a person, you will retain a very superficial perception, you will not be able to know and see the full depth of phenomena and objects.

3. Self-knowledge

Unfortunately, many people take their role in society for the real "I", and often even the role that was chosen for them. I am a father, a warehouse manager, a fan of playing MMORPG, middle class. I am a student, a future marketer, a future wife and mother. All these are just templates, and it would be fine when they are applied to other people, but to yourself!

A creative person perceives his "I" as the center of the world and the driving force of all events. To hell with guesses and thoughts that nothing will change in the world if you are gone. Your world will definitely be gone, so who, if not you, is the center of the world?

You, with all that's in you, that's ALL you have.

Creativity is possible only if you absolutely believe in yourself, are confident in the reality of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and in their deep meaning. There are no insignificant emotions, and if you understand this and get to know the world based on your own experiences, and not other people's opinions, you are a creative person.

And how do you understand creativity?
