We often hear in the comments something like "I live in the wrong country, why do you write about shopping in foreign stores?» or similar. But today I want to tell you in detail about one experience that is not new and not unique, but I simply cannot not share my delight.
It will be about buying an amazing Kindle reader in the USA from the website Amazon.com . The purchase came to me in... three days from the moment of payment!
I placed the order on amazon.com . For a long time I was choosing what to take with or without 3G, I thought to take even a restored reader, which costs $99. But I decided to take the golden mean – Kindle wifi for $139. 3G, even unlimited worldwide, I do not need, since I will go on vacation with a reader, where the Internet has the lowest priority and I want to give it up altogether. And I didn't dare to take the restored one – it's not clear how to fix it in case of something. There is also an Ad-supported version for $99, i.e. with ads that are visible only in the book selection menu, but not when reading, but I decided not to be greedy here either.
Then I filled in the payment card details + gave my home address in Kiev. The delivery was calculated at $20.98. The estimated delivery time is September 21. The order was made on September 11, Sunday evening at 23:00 Kyiv time. In total, the payment is $159.98. And I went to bed.
By mail, you will be sent a link to track the order, which is delivered by the UPS courier service.
On September 14, a courier called me and said that he was 10 minutes away from my house and ready to place an order. So I got a Kindle reader. Less than three days later, I had an amazing gadget in my hands, which was stitched with my account and had on board all the books I had previously bought from Amazon, which I read on iPad and iPhone using the Kindle application.
The irony here is also that on Monday before lunch I ordered a printer at home from the most popular and largest online store in Ukraine, which came to me on Wednesday. A printer from a Ukrainian online store, which was in stock in Kiev, came to me as much as a reader from the USA.
