Google Chrome has a new feature that allows users to see the amount of RAM occupied by any open tab. Moreover, it works in real time, it is enough to hover the cursor over the title of the tab at the top of the browser.
This feature is currently being tested in the stable version of Chrome with selected users. It is designed to help identify resource-intensive web pages and distribute the load more efficiently.
This new feature does not carry any active elements — only a number. For more detailed work with processes, there is still a built-in task manager, which opens with the key combination Shift + Esc or through the "Additional tools" in the browser settings.
If you don't have this feature in the stable version of Chrome yet, you can try to enable it manually. To do this, copy Chrome://flags to the address bar, press enter and enable Show memory usage in hovercards. After that, you will need to restart the browser.
