Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Xiaomi Photography Challenge 2018 photo contest, in which you can win up to 10 thousand dollars. The pictures must be taken on a smartphone released by the company, and they can be edited only by standard means of the device.
Applications can be submitted in four categories: "Naturalness" (Natural look), "Piece of the world" (Piece of the world), "Fantastic Landscape" (Dreamscape) and "Why so serious" (Why so serious). Images should contain information in EXIF format, and their size should vary between 300 KB and 10 MB.
Each participant can upload up to six photos. To qualify for the second round, the picture must receive at least three likes from other users. Then the images will be screened out by professional judges until there are 25 pieces left in each category. Then the "members of the Xiaomi global community" will have to give their votes to these top 100.
The winner in each category will be awarded 10 thousand dollars, for the second places they will give 2 thousand dollars, for the third — 500 dollars. To collect the prize, you will have to send a copy of your passport.
Residents of all countries of the world are allowed to participate, with the exception of mainland China. The application can be submitted until November 22. The winners will be announced on December 7, and will be contacted by December 22.
