In March 2013, VKontakte completely gave the Tape to us users to be torn to pieces. It is now possible to structure your news with the help of tabs that you create yourself and enter the news sources you need into them yourself. At the same time, as it turned out, tabs allow you to receive news in your feed from people and communities, even without being subscribed to them.

To do this, you will need to perform three simple steps:

1. To begin with, you still have to subscribe to the sources you need. Add the right person as a friend or join the community you want to read.

2. Log in to your news feed and create a new news list. To do this, click the plus sign on the left and select "Create Tab". Add to it those sources that you will read, but want to unsubscribe from them. Save the list.

3. After that, you can safely unsubscribe from communities and cancel friend requests. All sources added to the list will always broadcast their news to it.

Here is all of the above clearly:

And yet we advise you not to abuse this technique. Use this only when you are ashamed to show who or what you like to read :)
