We have already written about the need for strategic planning in your life. But it is easier to point out the need, it is not so difficult to justify, but it is not so easy to advise how to learn this. This is what today's article will be devoted to.
Naturally, it is best to start with… studying yourself. Take a look at yourself from the outside. Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. Write them down and try to use them wisely. Remember that it is much more productive to strengthen your virtues than to tighten up your shortcomings, unless, of course, they do not interfere with your life.
Fix your goals, in profession, well-being, relationships. Always evaluate the intended actions in accordance with them.
The path to goals is not always straight, especially if you lack skills. I note that the lack of skills and weaknesses that we talked about earlier are different things. Find information about what skills you will need to achieve the goal, find ways in which you could acquire them (Network, books, courses, trainings). Plan their acquisitions as part of your global plan.
Do not forget that the absence of global plans is detrimental, but do not forget about operational planning, and it needs to be embedded in the fabric of a large plan.
The plan is an empty place without execution, which always needs to be evaluated in order to understand how it corresponds to the plan and give yourself feedback. The need for evaluation implies fixing the principles of evaluation BEFORE the start of execution in order to exclude fraud.
Now you have all the elements for successful planning: knowledge of your resources, a list of tools that you need, direction of movement and evaluation methods. It remains only to write it all down and MAKE the dream a reality.
