Auto-focus. Version 2. Dealing with the to-do list has become even easier

If you haven't noticed yet, I'll let you know that Auto-focus has moved to the second version. The author of the system decided to take into account the results of his work, as well as the comments received in the discussion group and develop approaches that eliminate problems. I will not invent anything on my own, but I will try to simply translate the author's note.

How the system works

Adding tasks is exactly the same as in the first version. The difference arises already in the process of working with the list:

1. Start with the last task on your list
2. Read the tasks from the last to the first until you meet the one that needs to be done that stands out in your mind.
3. Complete the task in whole or in part.
4. Add the task to the list again, if necessary.
5. Repeat steps 1-5.

I note that after working on the task, you should not continue moving to the top of the list, you need to go back to the end again. Since the list will be constantly growing, this will give you the opportunity not to miss urgent or important things added recently, which will increase confidence in the system.

Crossing out unclaimed tasks

Every morning, you should go to the oldest page that has unfinished business (the active page) and highlight the very first block of tasks that have not been completed so far. All these tasks are now "taken note of". The block can include as many tasks as you want, starting with one.
At the beginning of the next day, you will have to delete all outstanding tasks from this block. Mark recommends crossing them out with a marker to facilitate the review in the future.
After that, you need to mark a new block already for the current day.

The full translation of Mark's article can be found here, and the original is on his blog.
