An interesting new thread has appeared on Twitter. The girl told how she improved the removable one-room stalinka with her own hands without large investments.
write a thread about how I made a comfortable place out of a ruined stalinka on a budget? pic.twitter.com/VLMnxD40cQ

in short, it is given: a studio apartment with high ceilings, parquet, a mini-balcony and a built-in bed (!) in a 1956 house pic.twitter.com/PFPjUeAmAL

1. We disassemble bulky furniture, hide unnecessary ones and those that do not fit in style – we sell them on Avito (I earned about 10 thousand, which I then invested in repairs) pic.twitter.com/P7mMcoXobl

2. The white color saves everything: we paint in two or three layers with white matte paint, 2000 a bucket with accessories in the form of rollers and brushes. If it shines through or does not fit well, then 1 layer of primer + then paint (so I'm already repainting the second apartment) pic.twitter.com/ayg2qBWC4r

I painted myself and alone for 2 days
Ideally, there would be another layer, but there is no time yet pic.twitter.com/IiQ3K6haJK— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
What I did in the room:
— I dismantled the owner's closet and took it out into the corridor (screwdrivers, 2 hands, 2 hours)
— repainted the walls white (2 days)
— repainted the bed white
— removed the 2 meter countertop from the wall and bought a table in color
— washed and turned over the shelf on which the TV is now pic.twitter.com/kEn2ibVJsv— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
— I washed the old master's suitcase – it is instead of a coffee table
— I decorated the old mirror with cheap plastic panels from Leroy+golden paint
— I cleaned the ancient tray under the mirror with ammonia and soda pic.twitter.com/vQ4sNbbYwC— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
Next is the bathroom. I grabbed the apartment largely because of the high ceilings, the balcony and the LARGE bathroom with a BATHTUB, but there are nuances that I have not yet reached

What I've done so far:
— repainted the walls in white and the floor in beige
— dug up a beautiful Soviet white tile under 2 layers of paint (see the wall above the bathroom)
— painted white plastic pipes in gray
— added vases-pictures-baskets and more pic.twitter.com/kpb7FBalFx— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
The changes are not immediately noticeable, but just look at this tile under the paint! pic.twitter.com/lJNoYutoVL— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
and here's the floor, which I first tried to cover with green paint from the kitchen (repainted): I hate painting tiles, but there was only one way out
and guys, GROUT solves everything – updating the old grout is generally easy pic.twitter.com/7C58LiMx0E

A bucket of Luxens paint with tinting in the right color – 1100 rubles, Leroy Merlin (start sponsoring me already) pic.twitter.com/kyPwW23Noi

That's before and after (I haven't touched the floors yet) pic.twitter.com/WqDqhuSZni
— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
in the kitchen, I
— did not align the walls
— did not remove all the old coatings to the point of shit
— did not primer before painting green
— did not change the baseboards and floors
— did not change the chairs and other details pic.twitter.com/fUAczupz63— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
Total: 7 months, 32,592 rubles for remodeling a rented apartment
Is it worth it? YES! YES! YES!
Do not listen to friends and relatives, you can repaint the walls – repaint, you can disassemble the closet – nah it— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
My life hacks (and then a photo of a cat)
– Avito! everything that is in Ikea is there and cheaper+you can find unique pieces
– baskets-boxes and other beautiful storage
– do not be afraid of carpets, I hate them, but the house has been transformed
– PINTEREST – all the colors and furniture have already been picked up for us— Elena Dementeva (@Dementeva_El) November 24, 2020
