You can listen to the article. If it's more convenient for you, turn on the podcast.

If you constantly wake up in a bad mood, most likely, the first thing you think about is "I didn't get enough sleep" and "I won't have time for anything."

What is this fraught with

These two thoughts set the mood for the whole day. You haven't even had time to get out of bed yet, but you are already tired, already dissatisfied, already suffering defeat. Starting like this every day, you train yourself to look for and find confirmation that you are deprived of something. And imperceptibly stop noticing what you have.

Do a little experiment: within 15 seconds, try to find as many blue objects around you as possible. Then close your eyes and try to remember which of the objects you saw were green. When we focus on one thing, we stop noticing everything else.

Starting the day with thoughts that you don't have enough time to sleep and do things, you give yourself the installation to notice only what you don't have, but would like to have.

How to deal with it

Before you take your head off the pillow, take a couple of seconds to direct your thoughts in the right direction. Think about this: "I've had enough sleep" and "I'll do everything in time." Gradually, these thoughts will grow like a snowball. They will be followed by others, just as positive, and as a result, you will begin to enjoy the good things in your life every day.

This is not self-deception, it's just a way to stop feeling sorry for yourself ahead of time and pay attention to what you have. And you have a lot: a roof over your head, food, close people, the strength to solve many problems.

This will have a beneficial effect not only on you, but also on others. Agree, it is much more pleasant to deal with a calm and confident person than with someone who is eternally dissatisfied and obsessed with the idea of doing everything in time and getting as much out of life as possible.

Think also about what you could share with others. Maybe you have read a good book that some of your friends will surely like. Or you have found an interesting program that will be useful in the office. After all, those who have enough of everything are willing to share with others, receiving a lot of positive emotions in return.

It's much better than living a day without sleep and dissatisfied.
