In May last year, our editor-in-chief Slava Baransky reviewed the DUO 24 watches from the German company Botta Design, which will be very useful to you if you work with colleagues from another time zone. It is not easy to keep in mind the difference of 8 hours, and quickly navigate by setting the time of Skype meetings and calls.
The DUO watch has two dials. External — local time. The dial is divided into 12 hours, the time is indicated only by the hour hand. There are no second and minute hands in principle. For those who are used to wearing classic watches, it may seem strange at first, but you get used to it very quickly. And as Slava Baransky, who tried out the DUO watch on himself, says, after a while, you even sincerely wonder why the second and minute hands on the watch are needed at all?
The inner dial is the second time zone, divided into 24 hours. This is convenient, because by taking one look at the clock, you can immediately figure out whether it's day with colleagues or night.
In addition to the convenience in determining the time, DUO Green have two other very important characteristics:
The new DUO Green watch differs from the DUO in its design. In DUO, the most contrasting colors were chosen for the design of the dial: yellow and black. This was done so that the user could easily read the time, even after taking one cursory glance at the clock.
But in some situations, for example, in low-light conditions, this contrast was not enough. That's why DUO Green uses green, to which the human eye is more sensitive at dusk.
The arrow indicating the time on the 24-hour dial has a green tip (as well as the strokes-divisions of the quadrants), and the arrow for the 12-hour dial is made of finely brushed stainless steel. This material reflects the remnants of light well, because the arrow is clearly visible.
Besides the fact that the dial has now become even more contrasting, and the time is read better, this color scheme looks nicer and somehow more technologically advanced.
Other technical characteristics remained the same: the case material is high—quality steel, the type of glass is sapphire crystal, the strap material is anti—allergenic leather, water resistance is 3 ATM.
